Jakarta, 25 February 2022 | The Government of Tangerang City has officially conducted Socialization of Tangerang City Waste to Energy (PSEL) Project on Thursday, February 24th, 2022. This socialization event was conducted as part of mandate conveyed by Tangerang City Regional People’s Representative Assembly (DPRD) to explain regarding PSEL project to the public of Tangerang City prior to project execution.
During the event, Mayor of Tangerang City, H. Arief Wismansyah emphasize that Tangerang City Government appreciate the support and collaboration of all stakeholders, particularly from Central Government, Banten Provincial Government, and Tangerang City DPRD who stay as the strategic partner as well as being critical in preparing the development of PSEL in Tangerang City. Hoping in the future, Tangerang City may become one of the cities advanced in waste management aspect, and may participate in reducing national waste generation which continuously escalates in parallel with the development of economic and social community activities.
Invited public relayed their appreciation and support toward the implementation of PSEL project in Tangerang City to solve waste issues in Tangerang City. This statement was also supported by the result of questionnaire delivered during the end of the socialization event, that 93% of attending participant has stated supporting the establishment of Tangerang City PSEL, while 7% participant stated neutral position toward PSEL, and 0% or no participant stated not supporting Tangerang City PSEL.
Currently Tangerang City PSEL Project in at the latest stage of planning, in which according to the result of public tender conducted by Tangerang City Government through PT. Tangerang Nusantara Global, has appointed Consortium Oligo Partners as the tender winner and has established PT Oligo Infra Swarna Nusantara (OISN) as Project Implementing Business Entity.
